Hi! My name is Kristy, and I’m a 29 year in Atlanta, Georgia with a passion for healthy living. I own/operate Atlanta Running Tours, and I’m an insurance underwriter. I absolutely love to run and choose healthy foods to fuel those runs. I am a vegan turned vegetarian (after a trip to Europe), so I’ve been enjoying eating local and/or organic yogurt, eggs, and cheese again.
Random Facts About Me:
- I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Geology from the University of Georgia. Go Dawgs!
- On June 26, 2010, I married my boyfriend of 7 years, Mark. He went to Georgia Tech. Booooooo Jackets!
- I am SUPER allergic to smoke. Enough of it will definitely make me toss my cookies/pray to the porcelain god/yawn in technicolor…you know what I’m sayin’.
- I’ve completed 10 marathons, 12 half marathons, participated in 2 ultra-marathons, and a handful of shorter distance races.
- For fun, I take acting classes and participate in plays in Atlanta.
- I’ve traveled around the world. I’ve been to Morocco, France, England, Hawaii, Caribbean, Japan, and Spain.
- I am obsessed with nut butters…especially almond butter. I go through about a jar a week.

Thanks for checking out my blog!

Hey Kristy! Thanks for stopping by my blog! I am training right now for the Baystate Marathon in Lowell MA. It’s supposed to be a pretty fast course so I am excited to get a good time. Congrats on doing 6 marathons! That’s awesome. I love the picture on your header. Gorgeous.
Fast course?!?! What’s that like?
I’ve only done the hilliest, most horrible marathons. I would love do something flat and fast! I can’t wait to see how you rock it!!!
And thanks! That’s me on our honeymoon in Hawaii a few months ago. My husband is a software engineer, so he created the header for me.
Mad skillz.
Kristy,
how are those Nike Lunar glides working for running long distance?
I really like the look, but cannot stray away from my durable asics until I know that those lunar glides work for tackling half marathon and marathon training runs.
Thanks!
Hey, Kari! The Nike Lunar Glides have been great…except I bought mine in a half size too small, so they’ve been bothering my pinkie toes a bit.
Other than that, love ‘em. They’re so snazzy looking, too!
I ran a great 18 miles in them last weekend!
Really excited to meet you!
I just found your blog from inmytummy – I’m always happy to “meet” other Atlanta bloggers! Hope you’re enjoying the snow…although it’s getting a little old at this point!
Amazing blog Kristy. 8 marathons is pretty awesome.
I love travelling and hope to go to all the above mentioned places someday (I am done with hawaii and france partially)
Hi Kristy! Thanks for the comment on my blog and well wishes for my knee!! It IS getting better, albeit not 100%. It will get there slowly but surely
CO is an awesome place to live, I highly suggest it!! I just love you blog, found it very recently and have enjoyed reading it. 8 Marathons is pretty awesome!!! Great motivation as I get ready to train for my 1st !!
I think your “…… healthy eating, balance” pertains well to your situation with “Kim”. Your eating habits have had a positive influence on me, and it feels great to me that you and Mark are going forward with a healthy lifestyle. I’m proud to have you as a daughter-in-law! I hope you & “Kim” are able to smooth things over for the sake of a pleasant work environment.
Kristy! Its so nice to see another Atlantan’s blog! I love the photos you post! Can’t wait to keep up with your blog!
You run for a living. That’s so cool
Congratz on finishing all those marathons and ultra marathons 0.0 I think I could go vegan… if cheese didn’t exist
